Baby Girl’s due date was December 24. Greg and I fell in love with the names Natalie and Caroline. We took it as a sign that Natalie means “born on Christmas” so the plan was that if Baby Girl was born on Christmas Eve or Christmas, her name would be Natalie. If she was born any other date, then her name would be Caroline.
On December 27 at 6:12pm, Caroline Helen was born and oh goodness, we were in love. She has blossomed over the past year from a little 8 pound peanut to a smart, beautiful, curious, and friendly one year old!
At 13 months, walking is her main mode of transportation and she loves to hug her baby doll. Lift the flap books hold her attention and I secretly love watching her explore the books on the bottom of her bookshelf, even though the end result often resembles 52 card pick up!
Caroline is a great eater and turkey & cheese sandwiches, clementines, and mac & cheese are her favorites. She will vigorously sign “more” to let you know that she is still hungry and this has been invaluable in giving her an additional way to communicate.
This girl can dance! She knows all of the toys that play music and which buttons to press to hear said music over and over and over and over again. She dances with her whole body and a smile on her face. The dishwasher and washing machine even provide a jam for Caroline to shake it!
Clapping is her forte and sitting in a shopping cart smiling at passersby is her speciality. This little girl is a charmer! She keeps a busy schedule with library story time, playgroup, hanging with the babies at the gym, swim lessons, and going on daddy/daughter dates.
We loved you before we met you Sweet Caroline and we fall more in love each and every day. You are so loved, sweet girl.
